Lieutenant 735-1 Biography

Lieutenant- Brian Kostenbader, EMT
Brian joined the Independence First Aid Squad in 2023 and obtained his EMT the same year. He is currently our Lieutenant and Training Center Coordinator. 

In addition to IFAS, Brian is currently the Chief and Treasurer for the Tri-County Fire Company in Mansfield Township. He began his fire service career in 2007 with Independence Fire Company. Brian is employed by the Warren County Fire Academy as a Level 2 instructor, the City of Lambertville as a FF/EMT, and Mansfield Township as their Emergency Management Coordinator.  ​
