Interested in Volunteering with Independence First Aid Squad?

No experience is necessary! Independence First Aid Squad will provide all levels of training to you at no cost!
You can start volunteering for the community at the age of 16 as an observer. If you are interested in becoming a member, read though the information below. If you have any questions, you can call the station or feel free to stop by!

Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs)
EMTs are those who are fully certified by the New Jersey Department of Health after completing a 200+ hours course. EMTs are required to ride 40 hours per month. 
Observer
Observers are those who  are not certified New Jersey EMTs. Observers are required to ride 40 hours per month.
Cadets
Cadet members are members who are 16 or 17 years of age. Cadets can go through the same training as EMTs and when they reach the age of 18, become fully certified EMTs. 
Associate Members
Associate members are non-riding members who are able to assist with fundraising and other department events. ​
